The Wildlife Hatchet is a lightweight axe ideal for scouting and camping. It has the same head as the Hand Hatchet but with a longer handle and, therefore, is excellent for felling small trees and splitting smaller branches for firewood.
Like all Gränsfors Bruk Forest Axes, the head is specially designed to cut across the grain of the wood fibres (in contrast to the Splitting Axes which are specially designed to cut along the grain of the wood fibres).
