Small Hatchet

The Small Hatchet is a lightweight axe ideal for hiking. Despite its diminutive size, this axe is excellent for limbing and splitting smaller branches for firewood. The slightly rounded butt (known as a poll) functions like a ‘priest’ for dispatching fish.

Like all Gränsfors Bruk Forest Axes, the head is specially designed to cut across the grain of the wood fibres (in contrast to the Splitting Axes, which are specially designed to cut along the grain of the wood fibres).
