The Small Forest Axe has a larger head and a longer handle than the Wildlife Hatchet and, therefore, provides more chopping power. It is excellent for felling small trees and limbing branches.
Like all Gränsfors Bruk Forest Axes, the head is specially designed to cut across the grain of the wood fibres (in contrast to Splitting Axes which are specially designed to cut along the grain of the wood fibres).
The Small Forest Axe is small enough to fit into a backpack, making it perfect for camping.
