Hunter’s Axe

This axe is specially made for the hunter and is ideal for the butchery of your catch in the field, as well as felling small trees and limbing branches. The axe has a rounded smooth poll for use when skinning an animal. (An axe with an ordinary straight poll with sharper corners can easily damage the hide.) The end of the handle has circular grooves which provide a steady grip, even if your hands are wet or sticky.

Like all Gränsfors Bruk Forest Axes, the head is specially designed to cut across the grain of the wood fibres (in contrast to the splitting axes which are specially designed to cut along the grain of the wood fibres).
