Hand Hatchet

A lightweight axe ideal for scouting and camping. Like all Gränsfors Bruk Forest Axes, the head is specially designed to cut across the grain of the wood fibres (in contrast to the splitting axes which are specially designed to cut along the grain of the wood fibres).

The hatchet has a short stocky handle relative to the size of its head. The dimensions of the Axe provides purchase and control. The Axe is excellent for felling small trees and limbing and splitting smaller branches for firewood.
